Hello, guys. I know i might be asking a repetitive question but I wanted to confirm whether i am on a right track. I submitted my primary and got transcript verified late July. I am waiting for the verification process. Would it most likely be verifed by late August? If not, if I am complete by mid september am I still good to go? So many ppl already submitted secondaries and im kinda getting nervous.

It depends on your stats, what state are you in, quality of LORs, and how stellar your ECs are. When you say that your transcripts were "verified late July," do you mean received by AMCAS? Verification by AMCAS is different than receipt of your transcripts.

If you submitted everything to AMCAS in late July, it's not too late, and you should be verified by sometime in August. Pre-write all of your secondaries so that you can submit them as soon as medical schools send them. If you are complete at most med schools before the middle of September, and if your application is good, then I think you've still got a good shot. Just be prepared to rock all interviews.

In short, it's obviously better to submit as early as possible, but you've already submitted, so just do what you can to expedite the submission and to maximize the quality of secondary materials sent to medical schools. That way, you'll make up for some time. Good luck!

You can submit applications anytime between ~June 1 and October/November for most schools. The first day that medical schools can view applications is sometime around June 20th. Thus, you have a three month window in which you could submit early (before the end of June) or on time (anytime up to Sep. 1). By the time September rolls around, you really should have submitted, unless you are waiting on an MCAT score or something. But by September, medical schools have already looked at hundreds of applications, and they have already accumulated a huge stack of applications to go through before February/March of next year. So, if you're at the bottom of that stack, you will be at a disadvantage, even at "non-rolling" schools.
