Completed Incompletes?

Hi,
I got very sick with meningitis 2 days before my organic chemistry final last semester. I had to take an incomplete for the class but I just took the final after winter break and got an A as my final grade in the course. My transcript shows an A for the course but with an asterisk indicating the grade had once been INC. I have read other posts that say that AMCAS may treat all incompletes the same (as if I'd never made up the test) or even as an F! Is this possibly true?

on AMCAS, you will enter the course and list "I" as grade. then you list the course again (when it was complete) and you will list the "A". it will not be treated as an F
