I have a really complicated situation, if any body can help me I appreciate.

I have bachelor and master degrees in Nutrition Science from overseas. Now, I am permanent resident in the United States. I plan to go to the Dentistry school. but most of the Dentistry schools do not accept my Bachelor and Master Degrees Courses as a prerequisite course, I must start again from undergraduate. Dentistry School accept the courses that pass in accredited American schools not overseas.

I want to start my new way as soon as possible, I need some help to suggest me how I can start? ( all of the deadline for undergraduate schools is finish now)

Technically, you do not need a bachelor's degree for most schools. You just need to earn a certain number of credits from a US school. You can take classes as a non degree student and therefore not apply to an undergrad. You could even start classes as early as this summer.

Do they acknowledge the degrees at all? And how old are these courses you took? I'd guess you just hit the pre-reqs. There seems to be no other option. Do you mean deadlines for acceptance/enrollment at undergrad schools have passed?

yes the deadline for undergraduate pass.
can I start in Community College?

Now , I am in Houston, but will move to Baltimore in August.

My Bachelor is in 2000 t0 2005 and Master 2005 to 2008.

one of the reason that i join to this Forum is to start my new way great.

any advice?
thank you

The deadline to enroll as a non degree student has not passed at many schools. If later you want to get a degree the credits will transfer. You do not have to go to community college.

You can be a non-degree seeking student. You really SHOULDN'T go to community college. A lot of schools don't take community college transfer credits and actually frown upon it.

Thank you for your respond, I have more Question.
Does Financial Aid (FAFSA) accept the non degree position in order to get loan?
can you suggest me any universities in Maryland or Washington areas?

Thanks, I appreciate your help..

Thank you.

No. You have to be a degree-seeking student. In either case, I don't know if you can even get financial aid as just a resident (as opposed to a citizen).

I'm a permanent resident. I got financial aid, but I also was always a degree seeking student.

For myself, I enrolled as a graduate student seeking a second bachelor's and then had to be enrolled at least half-time. Of course I didn't finish a second bachelor's. Maybe I would have. I don't know. But that's how I enrolled. That also helped me get the classes I needed. Otherwise I would have had to wait for all the undergrads to finish registering for classes first.

In my case, my school was pretty conservative about how much in excess of just tuition I could receive because I already had a degree. Probably a good thing. Also, you won't be able to get any Pell Grants.

Thank you for all kind responds.

I know that I can not get Pell Grant...I do not know about loan.

In your case, it might not hurt to start with an ESL course at a CC.

I have another question:

Can I get another Master degree and during that pass the prerequisite course?
Thank you for your time.

It is possible. But why? Taking all the prerequisites will take enough time without having to complete a masters.

because I want to get loan,
if I go to non degree plan...I can not get any loan..

Go to NYU. Ask them

I think I saw something in their website for students with foreign degrees in accredited schools
