Just wondering if anyone has any info on the computer specs for 1 years? I see they prefer you get something that meets their specs in the tuition/fees document, but I don't see the specs. Also, do they prefer mac or windows? Thanks for any help!

unless im mistaken ur not going to be doing movie composition and 3d rendering. i doubt it really matters but if u indeed care that much. go with a mac. then incase if they require windows u can bootcamp. just find a free windows on bit torrent or something

We'll get something in the mail about the specs, but I don't think they care about the OS as long as the compy you gets meet the specs. If you have a computer and don't really want a new one, you might be able to get away with keeping your machine so long as it's up to snuff. But we'll have to wait til they send us something. I don't think the specs will be anything outlandish, either, so you can pretty much start shopping if you want. I'm looking into tablet pcs, so I can take notes right on the many, many powerpoints we'll have to sit through.

i have a tablet currently. its not as effective as they make it out to be.
make sure u get GOOOD warranty on yours. and TRY out the stylus pen multiple times on different models. get something branded and read reviews on the stylus. those things go bad super fast.

once again read some reviews online, don't rely on the techs @ bestbuy, etc. get good warranty on the pen.

sooo after saying it 5 times before this, make sure you get warranty that actually covers the laptop itself, and examine the pen carefully.
get it ahead of time so you can practice using it.
gateways are pretty good. but look around for newer models
