you're all absolutely right, sorry. I know this isn't a "what are my chances" thread, but here goes I guess.
I had a 3.4ish until my junior year when I got a 3.8 and then last semester (senior fall semester) I got a 4.0 - upward trend I guess.
My overall is a 3.6 right now and if I do well this semester I will have a 3.64 overall. 1 publication (2nd author) in neurosurgery journal. 200-300 shadowing hours, 700 hours volunteer (veterans hospital, tutor inner-city youth in St. Louis, campus kitchen)
