Buying this gun with 2 extra clips for the glove box tomorrow. Was just followed home by highly suspicious driving through neighborhoods that followed me in a complete circular path over 4-5 miles. Had to call 911 and they eventually drove off when they realized I was taking them in circles and not going home. Getting a conceal permit Monday.

Pretty scary. A home invasion method of choice is to follow you into your garage. Keep your eyes open.

Narco ... the Glock 27 is an excellent choice. May I recommend purchasing a full-size clip as well? When I'm not carrying concealed my G27 is hidden in my car, loaded with a 15 round full-size clip. It makes gripping the weapon much easier.

For carrying concealed I simply replace the full-size clip with one of the small clips which comes with the weapon. Without the clip extender, though, your pinky finger will be floating free when gripping the weapon. Try it at the range to get used to the recoil in this mode. And it's not that accurate beyond close-in distances.

Give some thought to getting a Crimson Trace laser pointer as well:

The Glock 27 has double recoil spring making the "snap" in this .40 caliber manageable. A good shooting gun up to about 25 feet (some can shoot up to 50 feet well with this model).

The Glock 26 ( 9mm) is easy to shoot and has less recoil than the 27. The 4th generation Glocks had some FTEs in the 9 mm models (17, 19, 26) due to a strong recoil spring. Glock has since offered owners a weaker spring if they want to use 115 grain ammo.

The .40 calibers are "dead reliable" in 4th generation.
