so i recently got into a few schools.

long story short, im not doing so well in a class and i may end up below a C.

will dental schools straight up take away my acceptance, or will they give me a chance to redeem myself if i retake it in the summer before d school starts in august? i KNOW i can do better in the summer (if i have to take it). if you are already in dental school and have any stories that relate to this, please feel free to share.

Thank you

Depends on the school ! the emails I got strictly said C or higher !! You must call the schools and ask before it is too late.

Generally the rule is c or better. If you are in danger if getting below a C I would drop and retake(if it's a prereq) in the spring.

I also just got accepted and recently told the school that I had withdrawn from 2-3 ecology courses. They were fine with it.

Contact your school they'll try their best to retain your acceptance!

More often than not, schools rescind their conditional acceptance for several reasons: felony charge (i.e. aggravated assault), academic dishonesty on your latest transcript required after offer extended, failed background check that you did not explain or failed to mention, or a grade below a C- if your school offers the +/- scale or below a C in other cases. The best thing you can do is talk to your professor first, do your best to get yourself out of that situation, then if it doesn't work talk to the school.

It's already late in the semester, dropping would probably come with a drop with a fail or something to that extent.

Does this mean C or above in overall GPA or on a per class basis?
