I wanted confirmation about how the "Plan to Enroll" and "Commit to Enroll" works. I plan on dropping my other acceptances by April 30th and holding onto the one attendance I would attend (School A). However, I am waiting on getting off one of 2 WLs (School B/C), and if I do, I would for sure attend that school (School B/C). School A has a deadline of June 1 for "Commit to Enroll". So, can I technically still have this school as my option for "Plan to Enroll" even past April 30th while I'm waiting for the other WLs and I am holding no other As? Or do I have to choose "Commit to Enroll" and if I get off a WL, change the school I've committed to?

I'm sorry, but this can get a bit confusing and I don't have too many mentors that I can ask, so I really appreciate any advice!

Mark your favored school as PTE now and you can stay on your other WLs until your school's June 1 commitment deadline.

If you get off a WL, remove school A as your PTE school and change the PTE designation to your new one.
Committing is your final option so don't use it if not committed

You have this right based on what you detail above. You will "Plan to Enroll" at School A until June 1st so you can see if the waitlist at School B or C converts to an acceptance. Assuming that doesn't happen, you must "Commit to Enroll" at School A on June 1st and withdraw from Schools B and C. Good luck!

Once you CTE at a school, you are required to withdraw from all other A and WL as well.

Hi. I am on the same boat as well. I have been accepted to one school and have already indicated my plan to enroll. However, I am currently waitlisted at a school that's in my neighborhood and want to go there. I already picked "planned to enroll" for an OOS school, but I am curious if the schools I am waitlisted at can see if I opted for "plan to enroll" for other schools...

I think they can see that you have been accepted and PTE to another school after April 30 but not which school specifically

Ok. Would that somehow be seen as negative from the school that waitlisted me?
I've heard mixed things-- it wouldn't be a negative as they'll likely keep moving down the waitlist as more spots open up if the WL is ranked especially since you chose to remain on the WL after the PTE deadline. If it isn't ranked, they might want to offer the seat to someone who may not have an A/would be in position to accept it "more" or they will try to accept a student that fulfills a certain gap in their class.

I think I know which school you're talking about haha and I am in a similar position as you so all we can do is hope and hold on </3

I get the neuroticism, but pls don't fumble your definite A for the off chance it could increase your desirability to a school you are WL at. Take a deep breath and just follow the school you have the A at's PTE and CTE instructions/deadline. Unfortunately, we have to accept that things are out of our control at this point (easier said than done lol--I personally am losing it on basically 4 WL with no A). Wishing you all the best of luck on getting off your WL! Hang in there 🙂

After 4/30 do schools we are WL at know if we are on other WL besides theirs? The other schools names? Thanks!
