my score in nbde part 1 is 87.i have a chance to retake. i m so confused because i heard that difficulty level for retakers is increased. is that true. should i retake or not, or the other way is to take toefl n part2? are there any chances that i get less score then wat i have now. wat should be a wise decision? i dont know where the score graph of 2010 wil go ?

hi dr bbb,

personally i feel that the difficulty level doesn't increase. its the same. but you will definitely be more prepared than the first attempt.

good luck.

i agree with docmhv...d difficulty levl doesn change...i gave d xam first in june last yr n got 81...i appeard again in jan n got 87..

87 and 88 are good numbers..If i am in the same boat..how about other aspects of your application..like work exp..letters, overall resume etc etc..

may be you can think of part 2.. and improving other things in your resume..rather than retaking.. i knw people are scoring like crazy..90 plus is like so common..but still think and decide wisely about what you want to do.

btw, difficulty level is same, its just that you are more prepared second time..but still every paper has some bouncers..

I really think that 87 is a good score. Believe me, they look at your whole application (TOEFL, experience, personal statement...)not only your part 1 score. It is nice if you have a high score, and your score is high enough. Don't waste time. Best luck to you!

dont waste your time asking if 87 is a good score... its a score that many ppl would like to achieve... get focus on nbde part 2 and do your best with that one too.
