Just wondering, has anyone been contacted by programs post-interview? Either snail mail, personal email from PD, etc. Just wondering if this is common and what to think of it. Thanks!

Have received a Christmas card, a few emails. Some personalized, some which are probably generic/form-letter. It doesn't matter anyway because I think it's meaningless from the standpoint of where I actually am or will be on their final rank list, as apparently some programs tell many more applicants "we love you" than they will actually rank to match.

I've gotten responses to thank you emails I sent to one program. Otherwise, haven't heard anything yet at all.

I've heard from a few others who have gotten generic thank you for visiting emails.

Current residents, when if at all were you contacted post-interview?

I think most of the time it is meaningless. Programs want good applicants to rank them highly, so they like to stay in touch. If it's an email from a resident or a generic email or snail mail letter from the PD, it's probably meaningless. If you get a personal phone call from the PD, it probably means something. Anything short of that, I wouldn't read too much into it.
