Hello...anyone knows how to look up which product is a generic for a particular birth control? I'm getting so confused among them now and just heard a friend getting busted for substituting birth control brand with a generic that his computer automatically popped up. I looked over the orange book website and got confused even more. ANy help is truly appreciated, thanks so much in advance!

Lexicomp? Or gold standard? Employers usually offer some sort of program.

for birth control, lexicomp is very confusing and it just lists all product available. Clinical pharm only shows pix of available products and Micromedex is even faulty on availability of generic for certain brands of BC...

Not an ideal system, but I just check on my wholesaler's ordering page. It's more straightforward than clinical pharmacology, which works as well.

We do this at work too.

I have an App called RxOrange that I would highly recommend. Basically a much more user friendly version of Orange Book

THanks for the reply everyone. I am quite confused about these. We have a system of ordering and , for example , if you type in ovcon-35, it will also shows Gildagia, Zenchent, and Balziva as equivalent. When I look on the orange book website, I have no ideas what is going on and don't really understand at all how the infos are presented (even after reading all the explanation). From what I've known from school, only Balziva is considered the generic. Anyone else have any idea on this? Thanks a lot guys
