Anybody have any advice as to where I should apply with a 27 (10V, 8P, 9B) and a 3.9 (science and nonscience) as a NJ resident. Here are the schools I feel that I have a decent shot at. Please help by adding any other schools that would consider me with my stats:

NJ schools
Finch
Drexel
Penn State
Jefferson
Rush
Albany
Temple

Thanks.

Add New York Medical College, George Washington, Vermont, St Louis University...

And apply to some upper tier schools as well, because you never know what they're looking for! I was surpised to get interviews from several schools in the top 50 while traditionally easy schools like NYMC and MCP Drexel rejected me. I'll PM you with the schools I applied to....

Foxy, thanks for replying. I know that you got a 27 too, as you mentioned it on another post. Where did you apply and where did you get interviews. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, definitely add some more, but I really like your initial list. It showed some research and a grounding in reality.

Do any of you guys know that considering that I have a 3.9 and 27 (10V, 8P, 9B) if the 8 in PS will cause some of my apps not to be even looked at. I know that some schools screen and won't even look at some apps if they dont meet some cut offs. I was actually considering on adding a couple of mid tier schools like Einstein, Mt. Sinai, Rochester, Georgetown, and maybe even a tier 1 like Cornell. I know it is a crapshoot but I dont want to waste my money if my application wont even be looked at. Thanks.

Well, I'm not sure which schools have cut offs and what they are, but I had an 8 in PS (30 M total) and got into Columbia and USC (and some unranked schools), got waitlisted at Mt. Sinai, and interviewed at Rochester (before being rejected). So I'd say give it a go! 🙂
