Cooperative Atmosphere

Every med school seems to claim that they have a non-competitive environment mostly free of gunners and that the students are highly cohesive and cooperative. Furthermore, they all claim the faculty are truly interested in teaching and etc.

So anyone know which schools are telling the truth and which are not? I don't think interview experience gives an accurate impression of this.

I suspect it depends a great deal on your classmates, perhaps more so than on the school itself. Luck of the draw?

if the school isn't pass/fail, that will prolly foster more competition ... and def. more pressure to do well!
