Correct section?

I hope that this is the correct section. I am currently a Biology (Pre-professional) major. However, I have been considering changing my major to molecular / microbiology. Of course, both will yield the necessary classes for the MCAT and med school, but is biology looked at as a little broad? The more I read the catalog about molecular / micro and the course descriptions it seems much, much more interesting. I know it all boils down to my decision, just looking for a little outside advice, thanks!
