We all know that tuition at private medical schools are outrageously high. But are they justified? A friend of mine suggest that it cost the medical school and government(if it's involved) much more money to produce a physician than our measly tuition and fees can cover.

Anyone know if this true?

At my interview with the adcom chair of my state school, he said that the class size was limited strictly because of the costs involved to educate each med student...easy to see for subsidized state programs, but for those high-priced private schools with all that research grant $$$ and endowments??? Hard to imagine...
