Predents has the cost for total 4 year instate tuition as the following:

UTSA $21600
UT Houston $36500
Baylor $31440

Are these numbers accurate? Does anyone know why houston is nearly double that of San Antonio?

I'm pretty sure San Antonio is more than that...if I remember correctly from the interview Houston is $39k now. Maybe that SA cost doesn't include instruments etc

The following information is based on the information I received at my interviews:

SAN ANTONIO
Resident Tuition $10,125 per year

Total Cost for each year (excluding cost of living):
DS1- $17,805
DS2- $15,822
DS3- $15,875
DS4- $14,855

BAYLOR

Total Resident Cost for each year (excluding cost of living):
DS1- $18,438
DS2- $21,627
DS3- $11,881
DS4- $13,435

HOUSTON

Resident Tuition for 2006-07 --> $10,125 per year
Resident Tuiton for 2007-08 --> $11,125 per year

And obviously cost of living varies from city to city. But it is my understanding that with tuition/fees/living, the price comes out to approximately $40-$45,000 per year. Cost of living in Dallas is slightly higher and depending on where you live in Houston, apartments can get fairly high.

Predents also lists ASDOH as approx $146K for four years. At the interview they said approx $300K, about the same for UoP. Beware of the low published cost of education. Texas at $10-$20K per year seems pretty low, or excludes some of the costs you will have.

Nope, that's the beauty of Texas schools. They're super cheap if you're instate. No school is more than $15k/yr in tuition including all fees. Gotta love those state tax dollars!
