Countdown to December 3rd

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Not only have I looked at apartments and decided where to live lol, I have already picked out my furniture. Down to the kitchen utensils and bath towels! December 3rd cannot come soon enough !

🤣
did you do this for all the schools you interviewed at or just your top choice?

Top 5 :laugh:. There's still a week left and I've got waayyy too much free time, so I might just work through the rest soon. lmao!🤣

With that GPA/DAT and number of interviews, I don't see much heartbreak in store for you (knock on wood) !
Well I hope you're right! I still wouldn't take my chances and get emotionally attached to an interior design plan though

Are most people accepted the midnight of dec. 3rd? Or will the majority of acceptances come sometime in the morning of dec. 3rd?

Many schools say they will call in the morning, usually 8am your local time at the earliest. Some schools might automatically send an email at midnight, some schools only send an email after they call.

Depends on the school. Some send emails right at 12am EST whereas some do phone calls. I’d check out the class of 2022 school specific threads to see when people started receiving acceptances and via what method.

What are you guys doing next Sunday? I wanna plan something to keep me busy so that I'm not sitting home biting my nails

Waiting for December 3rd like

I'm blessed to have a busy weekend before December 3rd, but I am kinda stressed about if schools are going to call or email, what if two schools call at the same time? Lol

Last year my buddy got 2 emails and 1 call. The emails came at ~23:30 the night before Dec 1, and the other came around an hour later. The call came at 8:00 sharp on Dec 1 (from our instate school)

This week is gonna go by so slowly for me. Like it's not fair that the pre meds got closure super early.

Anyways, I'll probably just get myself really drunk, so that I can actually fall sleep for the night. Then I have celebrations with some people planned throughout the week… for if I get accepted.

I'm on that red dead 2 grind. Been playing every day for two weeks and it feels like I haven't scratched the surface! Game is crazy big and loaded with tons of content
Have you finished the game yet. I was very pleased by it.

the same thing goes through my mind at least 10 times a day. I am a semi constant high so i don't think about it too much
Same. I interviewed at two schools. One of them interviews more than half of their applicants, and one of them I had connections that helped me push through. Basically, those interview invites were not truly reflective of an impressive application on my part. And I know this because for all the other schools which I applied to (they were selective about who they interview, and I had no connections to depend on), I heard absolutely nothing from them.

Probably not. Might as well be productive 🙂

Nope, the game is pretty dense with things to do! I want to take my time with it. Been playing for at least an hour a day since October and I just started chapter 4.

Seriously tho, RDR2 is game of the generation. Don't think another game comes close to touching it

Not even Assassin's Creed Odyssey? I think it's THE best game!

I'm convinced. *immediately heads to store for purchase*

If you're a below average applicant and not in-state for a school, is it more likely to not hear back from a school than gain an acceptance on Dec 3rd? (Generally speaking)

Does it have a lot of naval combat? I picked it up for $27 on black Friday but haven't opened it yet because I'm still working my way through RDR2 lol

I'm pretty overwhelmed already with it and I'm still on chapter 5 haha it's probably the best game I've played since the witcher 3. The online beta starts soon we need to get together and role play as cowboy dentists lmao

Where'd you find it for $27? It's still $40 on steam I'm thinking about waiting til winter to pick it up

Yes it does. Much better than Creed with many more new features! Recently started, only on chapter 4, but I am already fascinated!
I am actually not sure why RDR2 is so popular, even in the South Park they have been talking for two episodes!

It's still $27 at gamestop for Xbox and ps4! But since you're on pc, you're probably out of luck lol

Ahh I hate naval combat in AC games. Well, I'll definitely get to it after this semester ends. RDR2 is popular because it's basically GTA with horses and you have the freedom to do anything in the game!

Such a crap shoot. Some people with surprisingly low stats get in on Dec 3, some people with the most amazing stats won't get in at all.

It might just be the anxiety talking but I was thinking about something recently

Do schools ever revisit and replace earlier interviewees?

Let's say you interview in September and they will say accepted, but 50 people on Nov 29 interview and just wow all of them. Will they go back and replace older interviewees?

:scared:

Yeah. Your acceptance is not official until they tell you.
