Guess I'll be checking the request documents tab here in a couple of days.

Oh my god the wait has been excruciating. I took it on the 29th and all of my classmates were checking their scores this past Wednesday during an internal medicine cardiology lecture. Alas, my frantic iphone checking of the NBME webpage yielded frustration, palpitations, and eventually despair. I'm on call this weekend so hopefully I can stuff down my anxiety and make it till Wednesday.

i had a slight glimmer of hope last wednesday because i took it 6/26 and thought "hey maybe i'll get mine today"...then no email came and the ecfmg page wasn't updated with my score. the wait is killing me-my school has us start with psych block but we can't continue if we don't pass boards. i just want to know so i can get on with my life.

Why is it even specifically released on Wednesdays anyway? What are they doing in these 4-8 weeks?

Just another fiery hoop. They could give us our raw score immediately, but instead they want us to stress about it.

I'm convinced that Med School is more about making people learn to cope with stress than it is actually about learning.

Stress is associated with learning anyhow! After all we tend to recall memories associated with stress.

Anyone look at older threads to see how long it took people on average to get their scores back (since the previous delay appears to be just for this year)

I can't wait, either. Look, my first post on SDN in years...

I, too, felt really crappy leaving the test. Actually, I also felt really crappy during the test. There was seriously a moment during the 3rd or 4th block that I strongly considered just getting up and leaving.

My only hope now is that I have a bunch of friends who felt they had "bombed" the test, but ended up doing quite nicely. Of course, I am sure that their definition of "bombed" is slightly skewed from mine.

Oh well...Wednesday, 11AM, you can't come quickly enough!

Edit: Oh, and stats (and I promise I will post my real score regardless of how low/average/high it is):

NBME11: 210 (5 weeks out)
UWSA1: 230 (3 weeks out)
UWSA2: 224 (2 weeks out)
UW (mostly random, timed): 61%

For various familial reasons, I had to take a week off (2nd to last week leading up to exam), and decided not to take another practice test during the week leading up to my exam, so...kinda flying in darkness here. Keeping my fingers crossed! Good luck to everybody else, as well.

I can't remember much from my exam except the first two blocks felt amazing...everything else... so freaking hard.

I felt the same way! First two blocks were easy and the rest was really hard. Turned out okay for me, as I'm sure it will for you!!

I'm on IM, but have been unwilling to do any type of reading/studying or even so much as look at a book. I've found it pretty difficult to assume a studying rhythm (and thus to be fully committed to 3rd year) without knowing my Step 1 score.

Haven't posted much in this forum (too intimidated ) Took mine the 16th, so not expecting my score anytime soon. This thread makes me feel better though, seems like I wasn't the only one who came out feeling like crap...lots of tears and sleepless nights since. Does anyone know of folks who took the test and scored significantly lower than NBMEs and UWSA? That's what I'm worried about because my test was harder than any of the practice ones and I was marking like crazy.

Kaplan Qbank 95% complete, average 58%
UW 70% complete, average 63%
before studying NBME 6- 191
NMBE 5- 210
UWSA1- 230
NBME 11- 226
1 week before UWSA2- 252
5 days before NBME 12- 233
4 days before Free 150: 251

Exam day-
For me, felt the exam was between NBMEs and UWORLD in difficulty. But most NBME focused on certain areas. The exam itself was all over the place. Lots of genetics and cell biology. Had more than usual micro and immuno. 5-10 general concepts (pharmacokinetics etc). The anatomy Q's was WTF for me( they increased my anxiety). If I read FA 10 times, still wouldnt know what they were asking me.
Biostats-OK, Embryo-OK, Ethics- not as easy as uworld.

Prep
Uworld 2X
Kaplan 60% done
UWSA 1 and 2 - 250s ( helped a lot with tackling the biogenetics qs and cell molec) on the real thing.
NBMEs 11 12 6 7 5 -240's avg.
Read FA a week b4 the exam(Not really a big fan)
Read Goljan for the historically weak areas
Overall feeling for the exam, felt like I was guessing through most of the exam and wasnt really confident as usual, but on some blocks of practice NBMEs, I felt like crap and it turns out to be my best block. So hoping for the best. I was marking like 5-10 qs per block(usuallly dont mark unless its just above my head ).
Only thing I am confident about is that I didnt fail. P=MD

Will post my score on weds!

Nope, just means your permit has expired. The permit is only there for the three month window you originally applied to. For example, I got my score last Wednesday but my permit was still there because it hadn't expired yet.

However the request documents screen does change at midnight of you're going to get your score!

Also, I wanted to say that I too just couldn't study until I knew my score. After winding down from getting the score I was able to start again!

Yeah, studying is just impossible until you can put the past behind you. Here's looking at an anxiety-ridden Tuesday. I'm on call Wednesday, so I am either going to be ecstatic all day, or frustrated. Woot!

Yeah, it's the same for me with the COMLEX. I felt equally crappy after finishing both the USMLE and COMLEX. And considering my USMLE score was an exact 188 (confirmed basically my worst fears), I think I developed a stomach ulcer waiting on my COMLEX score. And I still have more than 2 weeks! I just pray I pass my comlex so I can move on with my life and be hopeful for a decent family med residency.

Posted my experience a while back (in my history) - suffice it to say I get heart palpitations every time I think about opening that pdf...!😱

Don't think this is true - my permit is gone, and I'm still within my window. Either way, will let you guys know if anything changes this midnight!

Btw, anyone know the earliest that scores are released? Is it 8am? 9? etc..

When you click on 'Exam status' and press the little button next to *Step 1, the 'Print Permit' link is gone. I believe mine was still there a couple of days ago, but is gone now.

Whether this means anything - who knows. But just pointing it out.

I took mine on 6/29, felt awful about it and still do. I felt like every single one was a 50/50 guess at best, and at worst I had no idea.

Provided I passed, I just want to know my score- nothing can be worse than not knowing except failing.

Reading this thread makes me feel a bit anxious even though I got my score last week :0.

I think they started releasing scores at noon last Wednesday, so my guess is that they'll start releasing them around the same time this Wednesday. Good luck everyone!!

For me, the frustrating part is knowing that somewhere, out there, someone (even if it is just a computer) knows my score... and I don't!

Yeah, the link to my permit is gone. IIRC my eligibility period was June 1-August 31 so I'm not past my eligibility period.. so that's a good sign for my score release.

When is it supposed to change? I'm not staying up till midnight or anything like that.. people usually find out their score starting at 11am EST right? Or something like that?
