This thread has my name written all over it! Be forewarned I take my country music serious and am very critical. I'm not a stereotype inner city tweenage girl who is looking for some backstreet boy wannabe that would meet their parents' approval.driverabu said:
Okay with that said, first song evaluation of "Kill Me Now" doesn't do it for me. 👎 It sounds like a more whining Chris Ledoux trying to become another bloody Keith Urban or Rascal Flats. It adds merit to George Straits "murder on music row." Besides, when I'm heart broke I want something slower. This is too upbeat it doesn't coincide with the rhythm of a heartache - especially the little ditty at the end, WTF? Damn modern country music is going to hell in a hand basket. This song is about as valuable as tits on a steer. For every step forward we take two steps backward these days. 😡
"Guitar talkin' " This song has hope. 😳 It's upbeat nature reminds me a bit of Big and Rich without the 'white trash' hint to it. It's nice to see he's stickin' with tradition of an artist drawing attention to themselves in their time spent playing the bar scenes / lore of the musical instrument. But once again, he needs to get into it more, throw some Garth enthusiasm into it. It just seems flat - missing something.
"Painted Pony Ride" 👍 Good song it has potential and gets my vote. I'd like to hear this on the radio. It'll just take me a while to get used to hearing his voice, but I can say it wouldn't get the station change treatment.
"Storm Inside Me" 👎 This just pissed me off. It doesn't deserve the justice of why. Another whining aberration accousting the true pain of heartache and the comorbid drunkeness. Nothing more than another song that will be filed away never to be listened to again.
