I am a year 3 planning on doing radiology and I am couples matching with someone doing radiation oncology. How close are the radiology and rad onc departments at academic institutions? If they like one of us, will that dept. communicate with the other and help with the match? If both of us are competitive applicants, does the couples match benefit us or hurt us when applying for these competitive fields? Any help is appreciated.
