Hi! So some of you may have noticed that the course subject classification this year got very detailed, a little too detailed if you ask me. For example, in Other Science, they have "Health" and "Health Science" as separate entries. They also have "Plant" and "Plant Science" as another pair of entries. Physics and Physical Science are different things according to this list. Do AACOMAS really think they are different courses completely or are they just listing as many names possible to hit a wide range of classes ppl take and help them classify.

I took a class called Cellular and Molecular Biology. I repeated it at another school and its name was Cell Biology. Both have the same pre--reqs from their respective schools (year of bio and chem) and syllabi are all too similar. They even transfer to other schools' "Cellular Biology" classes. Prior to the new app system, I was confident this class would replace my first one. However, under the list for Biology, I see "Cellular and Molecular Biology" and "Cell Biology" as two different entries. Now I am in doubt if my repeat will count. I ask the same question as above. Has anyone who has been verified had some sort of related trouble? Any words are appreciated. I managed to get on the phone with a rep and she said "we can't pre-verify". So I resort to you guys (not as my absolute confirmation but a source of experiences). Not applying this cycle but this whole thing really puts my potential GPA into question when I do apply next year.

I also have similar issue as you, where I took like 5 classes in my major that are classified as HSC which stands for health sciences, but I don't know if those classes really fall under the sgpa category!! I think they are trying to include as many classes as possible with these extra details added this year. These aacomas reps are as helpful as a brick sometimes.

No kidding. Very true. I'm sorry about your situation. On one hand, I'm glad they expanded the Other Science list but on the other...
I am hoping that they acknowledge some of these course as exactly the same thing.
