Hi guys!

So I feel as if I am going in blind to this whole ptcas application process. Anyways, I was just curious if anyone could help me with a question. If I am missing a pre-requisite course on the schools list will they even consider my application? Say I was planning on taking it in the spring semester at a local community college (of which I am not even registered with the school yet) could I still put it as a planned/in progress course on ptcas and e-submit by the end of august? im really not sure how to go about it. Sorry if this is a stupid question!

Thanks!

Yes, you can list the class along with the school and semester that you plan on taking it, and mark it as planned. Schools just want to know your plan for completing the prerequisites. You can then go ahead and submit your application, and schools will consider you. If your plan changes, then you'll be able to change that in your application during the PTCAS academic update period that starts in December. Most schools do want most of your prerequisites to be completed by the time you apply, but usually it's ok to have one or two left to complete. If they end up accepting you, you'll need to send the school a final transcript once the class is completed in the spring.

Doublecheck with the specific schools too. Of the 4 I applied to, 3 required that all your pre-reqs be done by December of the year before you start PT school. So if you were to start in Aug 2013, all pre-reqs must have been completed by Dec 2012.
