I'm attempting to layout the rest of my coursework for undergrad. Wanted some opinions, what would you rank the importance for d school; microbio, molecular bio, molecular and cellular bio? I'm planning on talking to my advisor but wanted some additional opinions.

Well, I don't think you've taken the DAT yet, but I'd say cell & molec and microbio are very helpful classes to have taken to prepare for the DAT. So, although they may/may not be important for dental school, they are important classes to take for the DAT- just my opinion.

I'd say micro is the most important. Molecular and Cell Biology is a very good course because it relates to a lot of other courses such as Immunology, Physiology and Biochemistry. It is also a topic that tends to pop up on the DAT often. I'd definitely recommend taking both if possible, but Microbiology is more important if you can only take one.

I don't think it matters. The DAT tests at such a basic level that you don't need upper level courses the learn the small amount of material from each that's on the exam. I would prioritize these courses by whether or not the dental schools you are interested in require them for matriculation - if you mean important in terms of what will better prepare you to do well in dental school, in my opinion it all tends to get compressed and retaught to you at such a fast pace previous experience in undergrad barely makes a difference.

Make sure to look at the course requirements of dental schools. Many of them now require microbio, and a few want cell bio.
