I don't know why people haven't mentioned this more often on this forum, but there is a website called coursesaver.com and MAN IS IT HELPFUL!! It is short, concise, and to the point. The guy that does the lectures is so clear and on point, and I would highly recommend checking out their videos. It has helped me Immensely with physics.

You have to pay for the videos, either individually or you can buy a whole set, but IMO it is well worth it. Im in the PR class and I can honestly say that this guy teaches with twice the clarity of my instructors in half the time, so if you are on a budge crunch and don't want to fork over $2000 to a prep company, really, I think you should check this forum out

Yea Chad is good.
Make sure you guys print out follow-along sheet when taking notes. I found it immensely helpful.

This guy is awesome. He is a TA at my school, ASU and is phenomenal. He would hold ~4-6 hour reviews for every chemistry class (general and organic) before our lecture exams covering everything pertaining to the stuff that we would be tested on and huge final exam review for the class. His lectures were crystal clear and right to the point. I have gone to every singe review for general and organic chemistry and can attribute my A's in my chemistry courses to his reviews.

I was thrilled when he told us he was doing MCAT/DAT prep videos. I highly suggest that you sign up and give it a try. I hate reading from a text book as they are so dry and boring. Chad explains everything extremely well and right to the point. I found it helpful to watch his lectures before, then read the chapter from TPR and work the problems. I am watching the physics videos again in fastplay just for a quick refresher and working on passages now as my exam in ~4 weeks!

Man I wish I knew about this like a month ago! LOL

4-6 HOUR REVIEWS!?!?! WOW I wish we had that at my school! 🙁

Been to those too. I hate to call them "reviews" because it is really like you are learning it for the first time when he explains it. It just seems to click, often they were better attended than actual classes were.

Seriously, his organic chemistry reviews were always packed, I feel that you could just go to his reviews, practice some problems, then go take the exam and get an A. Chad's awesome. However, it may not work for everyone like the poster above, but I suggest that you at least give it a try. I think you can watch the first 3 general chemistry videos for free without paying and get a feel for how the rest of his series goes.

I agree. I like it and I purchased the physics videos because they are concise and to the point...and clarity is amazing. No tangents or anything.

I went to his review sessions as well. He's phenomenal and I'm happy to see that he's making some money! I've never seen a guy help more people for minimum wage or nothing.

If you pay for his videos - can you download them or do you have to stream from his site?

You just stream them. They have multiple versions for each video so you can watch them in fast speed or on slower connections. There are also quizzes and worksheets that go along with them on the site.

Thanks, I'll seriously consider this resource since I think I'm about done studying by myself.

I think you'll be very pleased. I say that you register sooner, rather than later because there was word recently about a price increase because of all the bandwidth that they are using, server costs, etc.

It's still a great bargain considering how much extensive and big they have gotten. There are now HD GC and HD OC videos as well as the old videos, and they are currently more than halfway through making the new quizzes for the new videos.

Also, they are making videos in the fall for Math catered to MCAT/DAT as well as biology videos in the spring. I suggest you take a look and see for yourself! Most of the DAT takers are using this for their core studying, and his videos are also catered to MCAT takers as well.

Good luck and if you do decide to pay for a subscription, please add me as a referral! Would appreciate it very much 👍!

Where are the lecture notes you have to print out?

They have gchem, ochem, and physics videos
they cover every (i think) mcat-related topics
I prefer their videos to other sites
but you gotta pay like $30 a month.
But they have a 6 months/$70 option, which is well worth it, especially if you're studying for the Jan/March MCAT
