I have a pretty busy semester:
Clinical Biochem
Biochem lab research practice
Physics (#2)
4 hour course for TAing practice
English
My question is, if I only take 4 courses this term, will this negatively affect my application? I don't want to miss out on the technicality: I didn't take a full course load, or couldn't handle it. Although it would help my gpa, to take one less....any suggestions?
(I have taken 2 summer courses that make up for it!)

I'll be fine that this will not be held against me? Has this happened to anyone out there?

there was this one semester i had to Q drop a class for fear of getting a C..which put me under the "full time student" status..and it was never brought up in any of my interviews...

The last thing on the minds of the admissions commt. is going to be whether or not you took enough credits in a term for their liking. Never once on any of my interviews was I congradulated for constantly taking an overload in credits each and every semester! As such, they are not going to look at you negatively for not taking 15 credits in one semester, they will be more concerened with what courses you have taken, if you have your preq. done and what your gpa is. Rest easy, the admissions commt. will not throw your application out simply because you didnt take a full load one semester, that is, unless you pull off a 1.8 that term 😱 , kidding .

oMg! I'm way too fragile to think liKe that (l0l). It's just that I will probably be a Canadian applicant to the states- so I don't want I to mess that in any way. I will probably drop the English. I also heard that there are penalizations (diff in gpa calculations) if u take a lighter load?
