Hello all!

I am getting ready to submit my app soon! Just a few questions:

1.) What's a cover letter? And what is included in it?

2.) One of my bio profs wrote me a letter of rec and said that last week he submitted it electronically. However, it has not appeared on my app yet. Is it possible that it's taking a while to process? Or maybe something went wrong...Gosh, I hope not.

3.) I can submit my app even though my transcript and LORs haven't all been submitted yet, right? Just want to make sure.

Thanks!

I can't say for sure, but I consider the cover letter to be your "at a glance profile". I was required, before submitting, to select one item from each category of professional experience that I wanted to appear on my cover letter. I think your GPA's and DAT scores appear there also.

My dentist's recommendation appeared pretty much as soon as he uploaded, so you might want to follow up on that a little. Maybe try calling AADSAS?

Yes you can e-submit without those things that are out of your control being received. However, they can't process your app until they have all of your transcripts anyway.

best of luck to you!

Actually you can select up to three items for each category. A cover letter is basically a summary page for your entire app.

Also, if your prof submitted your letter electronically, then it should appear on your app immediately.

I see a lot of people ask it, and im curious myself. Is one letter good enough? Like i can get a decent one, i voounteered at a lab and cleaned stuff for a few months but i did poorly in the professors class....how big of an impact will this have on me?

Thanks so much! One other quick question. If all my letters are being submitted electronically do I need to print the LOE Matching Form? I'm just a little confused as to what that is.

The LOE matching form is only for letters that are physically being mailed to AADSAS. If you selected that your letters will be submitted electronically, you won't even have the option of printing out the matching form.
