Hi guys!
Do you think covid-19 will impact how many people apply to occupational therapy school this cohort? I wanted to get more observation hours this summer but that could not happen. Do you think schools will be understanding and take this into consideration when viewing our applications?

Do you think covid-19 will impact how many people apply to occupational therapy school this cohort? I wanted to get more observation hours this summer but that could not happen. Do you think schools will be understanding and take this into consideration when viewing our applications?

I do think most schools will be understanding as this is unprecedented. I'd probably check with the school as well as schools often differ in requirements.

Since you won't have as any hours, I do recommend spending more time on your personal statements. Most schools assess applicants holistically so if you are lacking in one area try to make up for it in others.

Like for me I had lower GPA and GRE scores so I try to make up for it through letter of recommendations and personal statement.
