I'm applying to a few school in large urban cities in places like California / Florida. For the secondary question about how I'll add diversity, I thought it'd be a good idea to talk about how I grew up in rural WV, but I'm wondering how much detail I should add. I really did use to live by a cow farm and my friends and I would ride our bikes over and start playing Frisbee with dried cow pattis. Do you think I should include this amount of detail, or will they think I'm a mouth breather because of it?

Nah. Fish have a cloaca-like setup (more like a pore for urine [although many also excrete through their skin and or gills] and a loose anus with the reproductive papilla inside). Freshwater fish used in aquaponics take in so much excess fluids that they are constantly shedding extra water through their feces and urinary system(s) which is why they are perfect for waste recycling with plants. I suppose you could theoretically filter out the excrement with something porous then dry it out. I have never tried (and probably won’t). My fish poop feeds my cabbage, kale, and banana tree right now, so I need it in the water lol

This is false. When the patties dry, they keep their round flat shape pretty well and can be utilized as a Frisbee. I will use this knowledge as a pediatrician to entertain my patients.
