I am a CPhT and have an AAS in Pharmacy Technology. I have been taking classes for becoming a teacher but am now deciding to not go that path. I am currently unemployed but would really like to get back into a pharmacy. Seems like just about anyone can be a pharm. tech. I'd like for my resume/application to stand out and I'd like to gain more knowledge to be a better pharm. tech.

My question is, are there any ways of advancing (without going full-blown pharmacist)? Are there any Bachelor degrees to help me or any higher positions for a pharm. tech?

i dont know about anything but experience. for example, there is a pharm tech that is not in charge of Pyxis machines, and that was a promotion, there is also a tech that supervises all the techs on all shifts so that is advancment.... all of them, however, got it from working as a tech there first, then getting the promotion.

Organizations such as APhA and ASHP have things like "technician of the month" and specialized CE's and events for techs. Sometimes, scholarships are awarded also. Check out the websites for the national and state organizations and see if it's right for you and you may get something out of it =)
