What guideline should I be looking at for BP goals for CPJE?

JNC7?
JNC8?
New 2017 guideline?

I'm retaking it and there were a ton of questions the first time about this stuff. The answers will be very different depending on the guideline used!

When I took it late July, I based off of the more recent JNC 8. I would take a look at the new guideline. (acc has a nice short article)

I would focus more on knowing brand names of drugs. Given patient information, I can imagine the Board having a list of Brand names and asking which one to change. Which one would be safe (ie not CI to allergy or med condition) and increase compliance (contains the 2 drugs they are currently taking)?

Take a look at the bulletin outline if you need guidance on what to study.

Just got to know that 2017 guidelines have come out last Monday and It takes about 6 months for new guidelines to appear on the exam. So you can use JNC 8 guidelines if you are taking CPJE soon.
