Hi,
I just got my ATT and I was wondering when the new QA process starts?
I am planning to take it on August 8. Do you guys think it will be too late?

It was supposed to start in August, but we cant say anything. Usually they post it on BOP website prior to starting.

i believe last year the QA in August started on the 8th and the year before that started on the 2nd. But i've read here in SDN that an individual contacted the CA BOP and they've told them it is not uncommon to report retrospectively (a posting in August stating that QA started July 15th). i hope you don't get stuck in the QA, good luck!

This is so clockwork now that no one should plan on taking the exam after august 1st (unless you're really relocating in september or something). especially now that they've streamlined intern hour reporting for out of state people, all of my out of state friends took the CPJE before july 31st. if they can do it, in-state people should be able to easily...no excuses!

for those who are hoping that they will not be affected by the QA because they took their exam on or before 7/31/12, i have good news. I just got off the phone with a board representative and they assured me that those who took the CPJE no later than 7/31/12 will have their exams graded and results sent out within the 30-day period as promised. Only those who take the CPJE on or after 8/1/12 will be affected by the QA period.

Has anyone tried to call the BOP and ask them to release the score early due to employment issues? I feel bad for those who won't get their score until Nov!

lol...what a funny idea.

one person did succeed in releasing a score early due to a visa expiring and the potential for deportation, happened in another SDN thread.

but otherwise...you'd probably get laughed at.

Anybody who took CPJE on or after 8/1, please share as soon as you hear anything back from the board!
wanna know when they are done collecting the data and start releasing scores.........asap...
we are in the same boat........... :'(

Is there a way to tell what amount of data the Ca BoP has collected at any time so as to try to predict the scores release date. I can hardly believe that applicants who sat the exam in August have to sit still and anxious till NOV. Numbs the mind.

Yea, I feel sorry for those who took it after August. They'll have to be on grad intern pay for a while now.

Hi, are there any foreign pharmacists out here in California, I am foreign pharmacist struggling real bad to secure an intern place anywhere in this state. I am starting to think that all the internship opportunities are reserved for the California educated intern pharmacists. It looks impossible to secure a place even though I got a valid internship licence by Ca BoP. Tell me, am I the only one experiencing this hardship??

An intern where I work said she emailed the board, and their response was something to the effect of, "All the information the CA BOP makes available to the public is available on the CA BOP website."

Interpretation = No, there is no way to tell

but I've seen some posts in last year's sdn thread regarding the QA, where some ppl said

as of today, 3XX ppl have taken CPJE.. XX more to go! hurry up ppl. take the exam.

something like that. Does that mean this information is disclosed somewhere on the BoP website?? Last year's QA started in the beginning of august as well... and the first post I see that announced receipt of their score on sdn was like 9/26. I just hope ppl take their tests NOW and just end this ridiculous waiting period asap

i agree the waiting game sucks. I have a potential full time job lined up in SocCal... full time work i something i haven't had in almost 2 years. So id wish they'd hurry. i personally feel that the board of pharmacy changes the testing questions every QA period. Thus they need the QA period to curve the score, throw out the bad questions, or adjust the weight of various questions. i think more people probably would pass with the QA period than without. so it cant be a bad thing... except for the waiting

I just got off the phone with the board and they said the scores were release 9/17/2012. the wait is over, im soo excited and scared at the same time about finding out if i passed or failed. good luck

is it true????
I thought I saw someone's post saying, they only had 300+ ppl as of a week ago......
but if you talked to the board forreal, it's good to hear....!!! we've been waiting sooooooooooo long for this darn QA to be over.
I just hope that the mail gets here ASAP!!

Yeah, I talked to one of the receptionist n I was asking her how many ppl have taken the cpje so far n she just came out and said tht they mailed it on Monday. I will try calling again tomorrow to see what response I can get from someone else.

I still haven't received my score and I am in Northern CA too. Anyone received their yet? I am scared that my score would get lost on its way to its destination... but the 45 days waiting period hasn't passed yet.

the website says they try to release scores 30 days after test being taken. so if i took it on 8/28 they wont release my scores until 9/28?

Maybe that statement applies to those that took the exam during a non-QA period.

As for me, I took my exam on 8/7 and I still didn't receive anything in the mail. Maybe people in SoCal need to wait a little longer.

took exam on 8/1, received the results on 9/19. Sent in the application and check on the same day, still waiting for the license to post on the website. Socal

Still nothing in the mailbox...this is so frustrating. Can California please follow the footsteps of some of the other States and post the results online? 😡

Took mines 8/15 and got my results 9/17 and sent in the check on the same day. The board cashed my check yesterday.

seems like everybodys results were post marked 9/17. i still havent got my results. it shouldnt take 10 days to mail a letter one state over. im starting to think my results have not been determined or mailed yet. there is no way it should take that long in transit. if i dont get my results now when is the next score release? december?

I just got my green letter today from the California Board of Pharmacy! I took the test on Sept. 19th and got the results today on Sept. 28. *flails* I'm sooooo happy! Also, I don't know if this happened to anyone else, but when I took my test, the computer skipped over 2 of my questions D: And since you can't go back, I missed those 2. I was scared that would affect my score negatively, but I still passed with an 84. They had told me before I took the test that if you press too long on the Enter key when submitting your answer, it will skip over several questions. They made it sound hard to do, but it was pretty easy, unfortunately. I used the mouse instead of the Enter key, so maybe that's why? Did this happen to anyone else.

I took my exam on 8/7 and the letter was postmarked on 9/25/12.
Score: 88

In case there are people out there who might gain something from my experience, I will briefly share some points here.

First, after the exam I remembered all the questions I knew I got wrong, which turned out to be 12. Unlike most people, I had so many law questions (more than10). So my immediate advice to you is to read Weissman's law book AT LEAST twice. I didn't follow this advice when I took it because some people around me said that the law portion is minimal and that if you get lots of law questions, it means you are not doing well (FALSE). Also, I did well on the Naplex so I assumed I was ready for the CPJE. In hindsight, I should have looked back at some of the comments left by the generous members of SDN, such as to focus on storage, dosage, compatibility, etc. because had I better prepared for the exam, I would not have gone through the unncessary stress of being stuck in the QA and possibly having to take the CPJE again. Over all, I think I passed because I was lucky in that many questions I got wrong were probably not counted.

You know what, I heard there is literally 2 versions of CPJE. If you ask those who took it last year, it felt like there were only two.

This year is no exception. TBH, it's more like a lot of reused questions.

Mine was postmarked on 9/26/12, so about a week after I took the test 😵 That's a lot faster than I was expecting!!! I thought it took at least a month to get the results, unless you were at the very end of the Q&A, but I thought that ended before I took the test. I don't know, but I'm not complaining XD

some people got their results after only 9 days of waiting. then there is people like me who have been waiting over 30 days with no results. the cabop makes no sense sometimes.

i just took mine today.

as for version of my test, i agree with paperdome. a lot of law questions for sure. and again focus on storage requirements and route of administration.

and im already worried since i got about 15 questions wrong.

.waiting waiting... for those who will get their result in the next few days/weeks, please share your experience post Cpje!

i finally got my results today. i was so nervous while opening the letter. when i got the envelope ripped open all i saw was green 🙂 took me several minutes to actually find my score to confirm that i passed. what a big relief.

still waiting on the license # to post. I guess cabop sees fit to take your money then not provide you with your license number for a little while longer.
