Are the CPT codes and payment schedules publicly available and if so, where?

I don't know how to get them but I do know that they vary by metro to account for cost of living. 88305 in sf pays a lot more than in stl
ask whoever does the billing for your program. They would likely know.

Dig around on the CMS website, perhaps under the Medicare Fee-For-Service Payment menu.

Yeah thanks but this is for 2009 only.

The reason why I'm asking is because a google search yielded numerous websites and book advertisements offering sale of this information. It's beyond me why this is not publically available, I mean my tax dollars are used to fund Medicare.

Are 2010 numbers set yet? I dont think so...

Are you referring to the AMA CPT books? They seem more like user manuals than up-to-date fee schedules.

ok... I'm confused and i dont' know why I'm confused.

In short, I want to know how much in 2010 Medicare will pay for 88305, and what (if any) new codes will be added. When will this info be available?

And what are the website like this http://www.medicalcodingbooks.com/cpt/ peddling?
