i dont understand sir.
Can i complete a one and half year course earlier than stipulated, like as in an year or less?

Some programs are one year or less, although most programs are two years in length. What are you looking for in a program and how do you plan on using the degree?

As the poster above said, most programs are 3-4 semesters (1.5 - 2 years). If you have some professional experience related to public health or another advanced degree then you may want to check into schools that have an accelerated 1 year program for people with those qualifications (I know Hopkins has one, but that wouldn't be your cheapest option, you could research this on your own).

Some programs, specifically Tulane, that are 3 semesters will let you petition to begin in May/June of 2012 (rather than starting in August/September). This will allow you to complete the degree in 12 months and still do the three semesters of coursework.

Most programs will have restrictions on completing the degree earlier than it's intended to be completed (Emory, where I am, is 4 semesters for most MPH students, it has a requisite 42 hours, but unless you are in an accelerated path you wouldn't be able to graduate a semester early if you completed 42 hours in your first 3 semesters. Also, if you do the accelerated three semester path the tuition is higher, so it doesn't make it much cheaper in the end).

Good luck in your search!
