I was looking at their 2008 class profile and it seems like they didn't accept anyone from the east coast. Do they have any preferences for admission...and should someone from Virginia apply?

thanks!

Should international student apply? well...I actually already did apply because Creighton is private. Any int. SDNers at Creighton? please let me know.

short answer is yes. Creighton is a private school and does not necessarily favor in-state applicants. That being said, they still hold somewhat to their original values from when they started the school; that is, that they train dentists to be skilled in a variety of procedures (there are no graduate specialty programs there) in the event that they set up practice in a somewhat remote midwest town where there might not be a specialist nearby.

With that philosophy in mind, one mind expect that they are looking more for the type of person who would be willing to settle in a remote midwest town, and perhaps most east coast interviewees did not seem to fit the bill.

so, with that in mind, should I (VA resident) bother applying or look elsewhere?
