I've been lucky enough to have a couple acceptances and am deciding between these two schools. I could use some input. (Right now) I don't want to specialize and I want to work in rural communities.

I'm from Wisconsin originally. Knowing the Milwaukee area, I really like the feel of the city because I've visited quite a bit. Omaha seemed awesome and the facilities were outstanding, but I really don't know too much about the city. Creighton is slightly more expensive for me, but are the new facilities worth it? What do you know about these two programs?

Big Hoss scares me

but yeah, go w/ the cheaper school and Marquette definitely is a great school for someone who knows they don't want to specialize

If you don't mind me asking, why is Marquette good for someone not planning on specializing? I thought Marquette did have specialty programs?

you're probably right, i just remembered the adcoms and students telling us that the school focuses more on making students into excellent clinical dentists. during the tour they showed us the main research room they had w/ 3d printing of bioactive materials, and when i asked the D2 guiding us if there were additional research areas he said they're weren't. he also admitted that he had no interest in doing research or specializing, so he might have not known about where more research was being done, perhaps outside the main dental school building.

I heard Marquette does a very good job preparing their graduates for practice. Also, Milwaukee is a very beautiful and diverse city. If I went to Marquette, I would definitely go watch Giannis Antetokounmpo play as well--love the Bucks!
