Hi,
I did just average on the CREOGs in the first two years and am considering applying for fellowship next year. How much of an impact is this going to be on fellowhsip applications. I'm a good clinician, I feel, and do well on the sections of CREOG in which I want to go into. Am I screwed? Should I just throw in the towel now?

Depends on what fellowship you want to pursue. In the case of MFM, almost no one asks or cares about CREOGS, and your chances are predominantly driven by your research, letters of recommendation, and pedigree. However; a few colleagues in GYN/ONC and REI have mentioned that CREOGS came up regularly in the interview process.

To that end, there are a lot of factors that go into the process, and I wouldn't discount your chances purely based on the CREOGS.

Best of luck.
