I filed out the FAFSA yesterday. Now I am filing out the CSS Profile. I just realized that College Board charges you $25 for the first school and $16 for any additional schools.

I have 1 acceptance so far but I am on the waiting list for the remaining schools. Should I add the 'waitlist' schools on my CSS profile right now? or can I wait until I get an acceptance? I don't know if there is a deadline for the CSS profile like the FAFSA deadlines.

Recommend adding it now unless you're in dire financial constraints.

Some of the schools require downstream tasks after completing CSS, like uploading tax forms directly to CollegeBoard, so it's better to do this now rather than later.

Lastly, make sure all tax forms you submit are physically signed.
