Hi everyone!
I haven't seen a thread for the 2018-2019 MSOT program at CSUDH yet, so I decided to make one. This will be my second time applying to CSUDH (and hopefully my last!). I am also planning to apply to USC and West Coast University. CSUDH is my first choice because of location and cost, but I'm no longer picky and would gladly accept ANY program's admission. I don't want to waste any more time considering the required degree for OTs will be a doctorates degree starting 2025. I don't think I have the stamina nor the patience for a doctorates program lol.
Here are my stats:
Cum GPA: 3.68
Prereq GPA: 4.0
GRE: Verbal 153, Quant 150, AWA 4.5
LOR: 1 from OT, 1 from my supervisor, 1 from English professor
Experience: Over 1 year as a behavioral aide for clients diagnosed with autism
125 observation hours at 2 different outpatient clinics for children as well as a rehabilitation center for adults and seniors recovering from brain injuries
When I applied last year, I found these forums helpful not only to determine where my application stands but also for emotional support (waiting for decision letters to go out was excruciating, but having people to suffer with made it a little more tolerable lol). Feel free to post your stats and join in on the excitement 🙂
