Hey guys,
I was accepted to Royal Dick Vet, which I am thrilled about, but I just wanted to see how you liked it and how your transition from the US to Scotland went.

Any feedback, positive or negative, is greatly appreciated!!! 🙂

Congrats, Coridav! Did you do a search over on the pre vet forum? There aren't many current students on here regularly, but there are some threads over there and you could PM them.

Which program were you accepted to? Are you definitely going? i'll be starting this Fall.

Hey!
Im not absolutely sure yet, but as of now Im 75% positive I will be heading over seas! I got into the 4 year program, what about you? Maybe I will be seeing you over there 🙂

Hi guys although statistically speaking most likely girls...

Hey y'all! I started at the Dick Vet in August 2006 in the freshly redesigned Graduate Entry Programme (<-- see? I can spell now.) As it was a completely redesigned course there were a few growing pains, but all in all it got (most of) us where we needed to be. I'm procrastinating job apps and studying for my Equine Orthopedics rotation as we speak! Last night we had our Final Year Revue where we take the mickey out of ourselves and the staff and it just doesn't feel like it's been nearly four years!

Edinburgh is a beautiful city, and the school facilities were outstanding before but when the new teaching building is in use it should be fantastic. The bus system is excellent so despite the fact the school is out of town I've lived happily without a car. The registry/admin people can be kind of old school (slow and not very e-mail savvy), so persistence and face time is the key to getting things done.

The one thing I miss most about the States has been proper Mexican food! I would say look me up when you get here, but hopefully I won't be around in August! If you have any specific questions ask away.
