IF you are looking for a different avenue for utilizing your skills as a Veterinarian, the U.S. Army is offering Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities for 2026!
If interest the U.S. Army is looking for 9 Full-Time 64A General Veterinarians and 6 Part-Time. You will have to complete an application and provide things such as a CV, Education credentials, board certification, etc. Once everything is complete and you conduct a physical exam with Military Doctors to ensure you are physically healthy, we submit the whole Application for a board review.
There is a board being conducted in January, March, April, and May. You have to have the application ready the month prior.
If selected, you would sign a contract and get a date to leave for Officer training. After training concludes, you will sit down with someone and go over possible locations you could be stationed at. These places will included active duty bases for Full-time, Active Duty Officers. Army Reserve/Part-time Officers are able to stay somewhat local to their area depending on Veterinary Clinic location to your zip-code.
