I know there was a posting on this topic earlier...but i have a specific question...
I have been doin my secondaries and I am finding out that i am short a couple units for the chem requirements!!! I assumed that if I took the 14 series i would be OK.

Maybe those of u at UCLA can help...which classes fulfill a year of General Chem, and which classes fulfill a year of O. Chem?

2 quarters will be fine in g-chem and o-chem

it's equivalent to 1 year of material for us.

Eg:

G-Chem = Chem 14a 2.7 SH
Chem 14b 2.7 SH
Chem 14bl 1.3 SH
total 6.7
required 8

it usually doesn't matter as long as that's what UCLA requires for its premeds.

I was on the quarter system during my undergrad and two semesters of coursework equal three quarters. My chem classes were 5 units each, thus equaling 15 units in gen chem, 15 in organic chem, etc. You also have to have labs completed with each lecture for all of the chem's, physic's and bio's. It looks like you didn't take a 14a lab, which would bring up up to 8 units with a 1.3 unit course.

For the record...UCLA doesn't offer a Chem 14aL
