Dartmouth waitlist -- showing movement ??

What would be my chances to eventually get pulled off the list this late?

Anyone else on this waitlist, and if so, what other schools are you also waiting on?

Yeah, I've been on the waitlist at DMS too for quite a while. I haven't seen anything posted on SDN. Short of them offering me a spot and damn-near a full scholarship, it's too late. I'm also on the waitlist at Pitt, WashU, Emory, and UMich, but unless one of them offers me a TON of money, I'm sticking with the school that wanted me from the start.

Exactly, there's virtually no information on dartmouth's waitlist on SDN. Very strange. I know I'm not the only one on the list...

Hey Everyone,

I called the admissions office 2 weeks ago and they told me that as of then, the class was full, and they weren't pulling people off the list. HOWEVER, the class never remains full from now until the start of classes, and people will get pulled of the waitlist, as a few people withdraw from DMS and go else where, etc.....They also said there are about 100 people on the list....sooooo chances of getting pulled off are kind of small....but there is always a chance. Hope this helps!

You mean there are STILL 100 people on the list ?? That's insane. There's only some 70 spots and it's the kind of school that most people either really love or really hate so it is unlikely that they'd make a last minute switch.

People do get in off the waiting list here, but I don't think it's a big mover like other, larger schools. There are several people in our class who got in off the list so keep your hopes up. I know the waiting can suck!!!

Rumor around campus is that the incoming class is quite large - ie about 10 people more than last year.

It's my bet that there won't be any last minute movement on the wait list this summer.

No reason. It's just a function of how many people decided to come here. They try to keep the class at about 80 people. Last year's class was 78, this year's class is 86.

(And yes, I realize that I misspoke above: 2008's class is 8 peeps more than 2007).
