Hi everyone! I'm a long time reader but first time poster. I found other threads about what material people studied from, etc to be really helpful so I'll do the same.

My scores from today were:
PAT: 18
QR: 23
RC: 19
Bio: 21
GC: 21
OC: 21
TS: 21
AA: 21

For some reason, I thought you'd get an option of having a break after Natural Science section.. So I totally wasn't expecting to write PAT, then boom.. I had the timer for PAT ticking... (You only get one break after the PAT section)

PAT- very similar to crack the PAT

All sciences- I studied mainly from the Kaplan Blue Book. I bought the kaplan review book from somebody that took the Kaplan course. I thought the "review book" was great because I could work on questions at the end of the chapter.
I tried Topscore with a week remaining,,, and found it to be SUPER helpful. The level of difficulty was about the same as the real DAT.. I used "TOPSCORE" mainly to determine which area I needed to review.

Math- very similar to crack the Math

Reading- very similar to crack the Reading

The most important thing I wanted to ask was whether my PAT score is okay?
I have 3.55 GPA and relatively good extra curriculars but I'm a Canadian Citizen.

Do private schools (NYU, Boston) differentiate Canadians? also, are my stats okay for Temple? I heard great things about Temple so I'd like to go there if I can get in. ^^

I'd really appreciate your feedback, thanks!

Congrats! Those are pretty good scores. An 18 in the PAT isnt terrible...its pretty good...especially when you put it with that 21 AA 🙂

Do you mind posting your Crack Dat reading scores? thanks

Congrats man, awesome scores. Thanks for the info, love hearing people reinforce what was helpful/correlated well for the actual test. I think you're one of the first people I've heard not use Destroyer. How many Topscore tests did you take?

hey guys =)

I only did 2 full sets of crack the reading. I got 16 on the first try and 19 on the second attempt.

I tried 2 topscore tests: just the natural science.. My first attempt was (Bio:17, G-Chem:17, O-Chem:16). Then my second one was (Bio: 18, G-Chem:18, O-Chem-17)..

I think topscore was great in that it tells you which areas you need improvement =) ..

good luck with your tests guys~ If you put hard work into it, then you'll be rewarded with a good score.

From the people that have applied this cycle, do you think an okay PAT score (18) would be a hindrance in any way?

After taking the top score NS sections, i noticed ur scores went up to a 21AA on the real deal. How many days did u study after taking ur last TOP SCORE PRACTICE. I wonder because your AA improved by a lot. Or is top score just harder. I also wonder cuz i dont want practices to discourage me and make me postpone my date.
Thanks 🙂

by second attempt do you mean redoing the same exam or doing another exam?

and no i dont think that will hold you back...i know people who got in with 17s and 16s...your fine 🙂

To Slaughter421:
The time between my last topscore practice tests and the real one was 3 days. I don't think Topscore is necessarily harder, but I have a feeling that its standard scores could be alittle bit too pessimistic (From top score, I noticed that 80% correct gave 19. I may be wrong but the real DAT standard score might be more lenient)

I'd really stay away from trying to memorize answers from Topscore, but rather try to use it as a tool to find which area you're lacking in.
That's exactly what I did to prepare during my final 3 days =)

To mightyrat:
I meant the second attempt as in a second test (completely different one)

p.s. I had NO CLUE we couldn't use our OWN PENS and PENCILS. They make you use markers + marker board.. Just keep that in mind and don't be suprised.
