Overall im satisfied but not happy. Do you think im going to have to retake b/c of bio?
Ill post a breakdown in a bit.
I have a low gpa, but a high junior/senior year gpa
great extracurriculars. Great shadowing, LORS, etc

What type of questions were on the biology section?

Extremely random. I must have had at least 3 lab based questions. My first question was about Microarray technology. I started cracking up because I had no idea. Microarray technology...wtf...
Had other questions about heterozygous mixtures and density. Was just so random. I really dont remember 🙁

I took my DAT yesterday, my biology is random as well. There was a question asking which species is after dinosaur but later than sharks.

LOL, my friend had the same exam...I heard that test was really hard epecialy RC and QR. If I recall he said the answer was salamander?? lol...

I took my DAT yesterday and I had the same question about micro-array technology in Bio which I had to guess on.

I took mine today too, and I thought the test was hard. I managed a 21 AA, but I was expecting it to be easier than TopScore. I was getting around 20-21 on TopScore so I was hoping for a little higher, but oh well. I had that dinosaur question where I picked the salamander choice too lol.

I had the same question with a 19 in bio. I'm not re-taking it, just gonna go with it and see what happens (Although my TS was a 22 and AA was a 24). Honestly if I were you, I would just apply this cycle and see where it goes. If you retake, it won't be until late October, which pretty much means you're WAY late for this cycle. I'd go with the 17 and hope it gets you in somewhere. I wasn't able to find any average acceptance of bio scores anywhere besides UOP, and there average was a 20. We all know UOP is HUGE on DAT scores, so I think we can assume that the average bio scores for acceptance is...somewhere between 18-19? I would apply to as many schools as I can and hope for the best.

Your other scores are impressive and competitive so I would say a retake is not necessary unless you feel impelled to prove yourself as a bio student.
I don't think you should stress about it- your test is over and your studying payed off- be proud of your scores overall!
Congrats!!

I dont feel impelled to prove myself at all unless I dont get in
Its such a great relief. I look forward to posting my breakdown hopefully tomorrow.

Wow that is crazy. At least your done now though! Woohoo.

The only way I know about microarray technology is because of microbiology...but I do believe it's like one of the first questions asked in Destroyer.

You killed all the other sections though! Congrats

I definitely had the same test as you! We also had fairly similar scores. Congratulations on very solid scores! These tests are such toss-ups so you should be proud!!
