I'm almost done with my application through ADEA and I'm scheduled to take DAT on June 24.

But I'm thinking about postponding to July 8th to have extra time to study.

My application will be done without DAT score by end of June,
Taking July 8th DAT.

Is it too late?

I am no pro at this, but i believe you will be fine. I attended the "Inside UCSF" outreach even this year and was told that as long as you have your scores in by the end of August you should be fine. The adcoms said you would not be a "late" applicant. But that is just one school... but i've known a few people who have taken their test as late as august and one in september and still had acceptances. I am taking mine on July 17th, so i wouldn't worry about the 8th.

if you'll do very well on the DAT, then you should be fine. I took mine on 7/15 last year and still managed to get in. Maybe i am just the lucky one. 😀

I am also scheduled to take July 8. I would like to hear some more opinions.

I've heard the same news from schools about having scores in by end of Aug. I'm taking my DATs in Aug and submitting app by the end of this week.

i'm on the same boat, signed up for july 18th. but i heard some people say that later you take, higher score you'll need because adcoms will factor in that you had more time to study than someone who took it earlier... anyone know if this is true?

Same here, taking it early july..
Does anyone know if we should submit the app BEFORE taking the DAT or around the same time? If they dont look at our app until our scores come in, does it matter if we submit super early???

I'm early July too. A lot of people on SDN are, I should know..I've been on this site since I started studying..ugh..need my life back.

Thats stupid as people have different things going in their lives at different times, so they may have started studying at a later time as a result.
