DAT results not so good

Hi everyone just took my DAT I don't think I did that well but just wanted to know if you guys think I may have a chance this year.

GChem 17
Ochem 19
Overall sience 18
AA 18

I know I did really bad in QR I just always run out of time and don't understand math that well, same with G chem its the math that's tricky.

My GPA is 3.74

Your overall scores aren't bad but a 14 QR is really low. Some schools have cutoffs around 17 for any section, so I would recommend you research each school before you apply to it.

Good GPA but the DAT isn't that strong.

with better utilization of Dat destroyer and bootcamp next time, you will get the score you want! dont just run through the problems, try and understand the concept and the pattern of similar questions. i know you want to go for this cycle, but maybe you should have waited and studied a little bit more? never take it unless you're ready and satifisfied with your progress. that being said, you know what you need to work on now. with a little more work, you will most certainly do better your 2nd time! good luck

Man, that 14 is really low. Below average and alot of schools have cut offs. If it was a 16, I think you may be safe but man...

Thanks everyone I know I totally bombed that QR 🙁 but you are right I can only progress from here . Thanks everyone for the advice. Best of luck in your dentistry endeavors!

Some schools don't give a rip about the QR. But either way, plan on retaking it and study the math a couple times a week for the next several months and it'll be above 17. Even if you feel like you haven't learned anything new, you'll get a higher score the second time around if you study. At least that was my experience.

What is your science GPA? Your QR score will keep you out of a lot of schools, with your great GPA but with high DAT scores you will easily be a candidate at many schools. My advice would be to retake to bring your scores up in all sections. How did you prepare to take the DAT?
