DAT taken. Retake or not?

I took the dat few weeks back. Here are the scores

PAT 18
QR 18
Reading 17
Bio 18
Chem 20
Ochem 21
TS 19
AA 19

Current GPA: 4.0 overall/science. All prereqs at CC but currently in my 2nd semester of university ranked 67th in the country. GPA is still 4.0 after one semester here(biochem & cellbio/neurosci).

I am applying next year when I have more credits of upper level bio classes from the university.

retake the DAT or not? (top choice UMDNJ (instate), NYU, Arizona, Western, Midwestern, Maryland, West virginia, buffalo, case, pitt, virginia). Any more schools to suggest?

I keep reading about pre-requisites taken at CC.. Is that real? DS accept CC? I took some pre-req at CC and my advisor FORCED me to do them over at university
your scores are fine, just apply early in the cycle

You could be me! I have 19 AA, 19TS, 18 PAT. I have a 3.8 GPA, 4.0 science. I did my first two years at cc, now I'm a senior at a small private University (not sure if mine is as prestigious as yours!). I took my DAT on 8/21, and my scores haven't been sent out yet to schools. I don't know yet how I'll be received, but with our similar stats I'll be happy to share. PM me and I'll update you.

So i took my DAT today and i scored the following
AA: 19
TS: 19
PAT: 20

with all sections being above 18 at least.

I have tons and tons of shadowing and work at the dental clinic providing chair side assistance to numerous dentists.

Im just slightly worried about my DAT scores, can i get into a dental school with these scores?

Oh and my GPA is around a 3.3, attending UCSD with a biochemistry major. Im also working on a couple of research projects, one of which is just finishing up where i will be listed as an author, and just starting another one involving osteoclast research and the bone of teeth

so what yall think?

Both of you are fine! I was freaking out too over my 18/18/17 but I have three interviews so far from NYU (tomorrow!) umdnj and BU. I would definitely consider adding BU to your list. Just write a killer personal statement and stay confident!

I wouldn't. The amount of time you'll spend studying for this instead of maintaining your gpa or just having fun might not yield such a higher score and could feel like a waste of time and money.
