So hello everyone. I'm brand spanking new on here. My friend that checks these posts on an hourly basis kept recommending it to me and now here I am and I'm hooked.

I was wondering if anyone here hasn't heard a single thing from Davis? I know I must have been rejected seeing as how I never interviewed there, but why wouldn't I have received a rejection letter by now?

I emailed Yasmin over the weekend to see if more acceptances were to be sent out. This was her reply.

We started sending emails Friday afternoon. Only 40 have been sent thus far. We will continue today and tomorrow. We are unable to send the emails as a group. I understand the anticipation but each letter has to be customize for each acceptance.

There are people who have reported getting a rejection, so it's not just that they haven't sent any rejections. There are also other people on this forum who still haven't heard anything at all. The only thing I can figure is that you're in the unfortunate position of having *almost* made the interview list - they don't want to reject you outright in case they end up needing more people, or maybe they've been spending all their time with interviews and decisions and haven't gotten back to the almost-interviewed folks. Either way it does seem harsh to make you wait with no communication at all. 🙁

NB. I think even rejections were sent via e-mail, so you might want to check that it didn't get swept up by a spam filter or something.

Yea. I'll probably be applying next year too. Or the year after that. I'm looking into master's programs now, and if I get into that, I'll apply when I'm done with the program. So lol, I'll make it somewhere... eventrually.

Well, just within the past month I got a FT vet tech position, so I will rack up a lot more experience (which I think was a weak spot for me). In addition I'm going to take a couple of extra courses to boost the GPA. I'm one of those silly people who chose a difficult school and a difficult major and my GPA reflects that.
Hopefully that will do the trick! I'm also going to take a couple of trips I wouldn't have been able to go on if I were in school.

I've been checking my email (& spam folder) & snail mail daily. I tried to call their office today, but they're closed for Ceasar Chavez day.
Anyone else still in the dark about their UCD status?

I interviewed (out of state) but haven't heard anything. I'm getting impatient!!! 😡

I assume this means I didn't get in, but I still would like to KNOW that. And the only type of notification I haven't heard anything about so far is the wait list, which for whatever reason often goes out after even the rejections. So, maybe I'm waitlisted. Who knows. I 😍 Penn! 🙂

From what I understood from the orientation day is that they compile all the statistics before sending out rejections to let you know how you stacked up to the admitted class. Those are going out by snail mail rather than email.
