Hi all- so I'm ready to start studying: Master the Boards (Conrad Fischer), First Aid, Secrets in my arsenal...not to mention the kaplan videos.

One problem, I'm not sure where to start! I opened my books-- and, well- I'd like to focus on the "biggest" subjects.

Do I really need to spend as much time on Allergy/Immunology as, lets say- Cards or Ob/Gyn? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Start with Secrets. It's the easiest read of them all and provides a firm foundation for what First Aid is going to whoop you on.

Be well-rounded in all subspecialties. Even OBGYN.

I know, it's like step 2 all over again.

Thanks for that- I've started doing USMLEworld questions... kinda dissuading! Amazing how much you forget during intern year!

I'm trying to sort out HOW I study, not sure if I should just tackle each subject in IM... (i.e. Cards, Pulm, GI, Nephro)? Or take the common encounters in out-patient clinics (i.e. prevention/maintenance/screening, thyroid/diabetes, MSK/Rheum, headaches, anxiety/depression and other common things)

Back to studying 😉
