Has anyone used a firm or financial advisor to help manage their student loan debt? I took note of the article promoting GLAdvisor. If anyone has used them it would be great if you could post your experience, or if you are using a different firm/company you could make some recommendations.

Thanks.

For free you school's financial aid office should be able to inform you of you options. The banks who hold and service your loans should be able to tell you your options. There is plenty of information on the internet including a financial aid forum on the SDN. Since you can't get out of student loans by declaring bankruptcy. Your dept manager really can't do much for you that can't easily do for your self.

The $450 annual fee seems a bit excessive, for information you can easily find elsewhere. Plus when you start earning the big bucks you probably will have an accountant or other financial adviser who will be able to help you with any student loan questions.

my school doesnt offer debt management. the "financial advisor" who isn't an advisor said to look it up online.

:/

any help would be appreciated. especially great websites to read.
